It is the capital city of Kerala in south India. It is bounded by the Arabian Sea on the West and Tamil Nadu on the East. Kovalam Beach: It is just 16 kms away and this internationally renowned beach resort is one of the favourite destinations for the travelers. Kovalam consist of three adjacent beaches.
Padmanabha Swamy Temple: It is located inside the East Fort and is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It is one among the 108n sacred Vishnu temples in India. A blend of Kerala and Dravidian style of architecture can be witnessed here.
Kuthiramalika Palace Museum: Maharaja swathi Thirunal Balarama Varma built this palace. He was a great poet, musician, social reformer and a statesman. It displays the traditional Tranvancore style of architecture.
Napier Museum: It houses a rare collection of archeological and historic artifacts, bronze idols, ancient ornaments, a temple chariot and ivory carvings.
Sree Chithra Art Gallery: It is located nerar the Naiper Museum
It displays painting of raja Ravi Varma and exquisite works from the Rajput, Mughal and Tanjore schools of Art.
