The Mughal Emperor Akbar constructed Agra Fort in 1565, however the additions were made till the time of his grandson Shah Jahan. The forbidding exteriors of this fort hide an inner paradise. There are a number of exquisite buildings like Moti Masjid-a white marble akin to a perfect pearl; Diwani-i-Aam, Diwan-i-Khaas, Musamman Burj-where Shah Jahan died in 1666 A.D. Jahangir’s Palace; Khaas, Musamman Burj-where Shah Jahan died in 1666 A.D. Jahangir’s Palace; Khaas Mahal and Shish Mahal.

Red Fort:
Red Fort also known as ‘Lal Quila’. It is made of red sandstones, it is one of the most magnificent monuments in Delhi. It was built by Emperor Shah Jahan in 1639. It is a place where the National Flag was hosted for the first time, when India gained her Independence on 15th August, 1947.

Golconda Fort:
The name originates from the Telugu words ‘Golla and Konda’ which means the Shepherd’s hill which is situated neighboring Warangal. A clap under the canopy of the Fateh Darwaza can be heard at the far away summit palace. Famous features of Golconda Fort include its system of acoustic palaces, water supply system and the famous Rahban cannon – one of those used during the last seize of Golconda to whom the fort ultimately fell.

Hawa Mahal:
One of the most recognizable monuments of Jaipur was built by Maharaja Sawai Paratap, in 1799. The 5 storied octagonal monuments with 365 windows along with over hanging latticed balconies is a fine piece of Rajput architecture.

Mysore Palace

Mysore Palace:
Mysore Maharaja’s Palace, was designed by the English Architect, Henry Irwin. The Mysore Palace is one of the major tourist attractions in Mysore. It dominates the skyline of Mysore. The palace is illuminated on Sundays, Public Holidays as well as during the Dussehra Celebrations when 97,000 electric bulbs are used to illuminate it. Dussehra is celebrated for 10-days in Mysore and is celebrated during the month of October or November, It is a spectacular event to watch and particularly at the palace.

Lake Palace:
It is also known as Jag Niwas located in Udaipur. It is regarded as one of the most beautiful palaces in the world, and the mere sight of this white wonder rising from the turquoise waters of Lake Pichola is dream-like come true. It has been called as “one of the most romantic creations of man”.

Fatehpur Sikri:
The Mughal Emperor Akbar built Fatehpur Sikri when his son - Sheikh Salim Chishti was born and made it his capital city in the year 1564.  Later, due to shortage of water and unrest in the northwest, Akbar had to abandon this city. The beautiful marble tomb of Sheikh Salim Chishti attracts thousands who seek blessings marble tomb attracts a large number of people. Other renowned places are Diwan-i-Aam, Diwan-i-Khaas, Buland Darwaza, Panch Mahal, Jodha Bai’s Palace and Birbal Bhavan.
